Process:

For the final in my typography class, we were tasked with creating a custom font via FontStruct and ensuring it was good for use on computers. On top of that we were required to create printed layouts of the font showcasing all the characters. My custom font, MTHRBOARD, is based of movies like the Matrix and Bladerunner.

Challenges:

A challenge I ran into while creating this font was making all the letters cohesive as well as ensuring the letters didn’t become too large in scale. The small seperations in my letters gave me a hard time, and I had to find ways to show thes seperations I made clearly in each letter.  

Final Product:

This piece took me 2 weeks of continuous work to complete and was created entirely on FontStruct. It is still available on FontStruct as a .TTF and .OTF for free use.
