EDITORIAL DESIGN


PROCESS:

For this class we were tasked with creating a poster based off a song that was  given to us by the professor. The objective was to then take the Wikipedia page and use it as body copy for the poster honoring the aesthetic of the song.

CHALLENGES:

Someething I ran into early on while creating this piece was the layout. We were specifically instructed to use a column system in the piece, and creating an interesting composition while using a strict system proved to be difficult.

FINAL PRODUCT:

The top poster became the final project after creating two renditions (as seen below) which we’re heavily critiuqed by the professor. This feedback helped me find a good medium between informative and engaging, using the columns to represent a city skyline which was key symbolism within the song.
